MELOZHORI LODGE
Melozhori Lodge is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful safari lodges within the Western Cape Province of South Africa.
Melozhori Private Game Reserve, conveniently located less than 2 hours from Cape Town and at the start of the Garden Route, offers you an exquisite and unique natural wilderness with luxurious and secluded accommodations to relax, breathe, and feel rejuvenated.
The history of Melozhori is the story of the Bhorat family and their search for a getaway in nature to call their own.
With no history of agriculture, but a passion for conservation and wildlife, the family acquired an old sheep and cattle farm in 2008 on the historic wagon-trading route between the Overberg and Cape Town.
As a family-owned establishment, we understand the needs of families.
An environment free of dangerous predators and malaria ensures peace of mind and endless possibilities for you to explore the reserve at your leisure.
At Melozhori Lodge you can enjoy game drives at your leisure with expert guides; a relaxing hike to enjoy panoramic views; exhilarating mountain bike trails through hilly terrain; a sundowner picnic in the veld; or a long soak in a wood-fired hot tub under a Milky Way of stars.
Over 2,300 hectares of undulating hills and mountains offer up breathtaking panoramic views, and a home to 38 species of game, 129 species of birds, and a unique mix of indigenous flora.
Accommodation at Melozhori Lodge:
The flagship accommodation offering at Melozhori is a luxurious all-inclusive Lodge.
The four en-suite bedrooms boast breathtaking views of the blue-fold mountains in the distance.
The living area features a spacious lounge and dining room which opens out onto a viewing deck complete with a rim-flow pool.
Four generous en-suite bedrooms flow onto private decks, all overlooking the dam and valley beyond.
Trees attract natural life to the fringes of the homestead; rise early and you’re likely to be sharing the view with giraffes and browsing zebras.
Being a family home, the environment is completely safe for children, who will delight in the open spaces and spotting games from your private, open game-drive vehicle.
The lodge’s design reflects the landscape’s hues and textures, offering panoramic views that bring the outside in.
Here, indulgence is encouraged, and every moment is curated to ensure your stay is as restful as it is inspiring.
At Melozhori, every day is an opportunity to create your rhythm.
